The West Virginia Laser Eye Center LLC (WVLEC) was formed by Dr. Gregory S. Moore in mid 2001. After working for a large international LASIK company, it made sense to continue as a refractive laser center. Frankly, nothing has changed except the name. At the West Virginia Laser Eye Center, more than 2000 procedures were performed in the first half of 2001 achieving excellent results. Patients come from all over the world to have the LASIK performed at WVLEC. There are two on-site lasers, the Nidek EC5000 excimer and the Hyperion laser for farsightedness. WVLEC is able to offer better quality care and reduced prices due to the economies of scale. We only do refractive surgery, and the more volume of surgeries, the less the cost per procedure.

There are many well-trained, long-term employees available at the WVLEC to make you a convenient appointment, schedule a hotel room, give you directions or answer any questions or concerns. They will also be available the day of your appointment to guide you through your exam and laser procedure as comfortably as possible.

Two of our key employees are Mary Edens and Linda Gullian. They have worked in ophthalmology for over 18 years.

At the WVLEC, Mary uses her experience as a Certified Ophthalmic Technician and oversees the laser room as a Certified Nidek Laser Technician.

Linda is a Certified Nidek Laser Technician as well as Executive Director of the center. She will be working with referring Optometrists as the co-management liaison.

If you have occasion to call with a question or concern on the weekend or after regular business hours, you will likely be speaking with either Linda or Mary.
